My contribution to the A Sweet Farewell to Downton Abbey collaboration. I decided to reproduce the elegant and ornate telephones from the 1910s. The base of the phone was RKT as I had to work long periods of time on the headset I didn’t want cake to spoil. The rest of the cake is a combination of modeling chocolate, fondant and gum paste. There is an armature to support the headset. Airbrushed and then dusted to achieve that antique look.
