Happy Birthday, Dr. Seuss!!!
A collaboration of cake artists will come together to create pieces based on the works and life of Dr. Seuss.

*Horton Hears A Who! *(1954) themed my sugar work for the Dr.Seuss Collaboration is inspired by the first cartoon (produced by Chuck Jones & Ted Geisel-Dr. Seuss himself-).
The dandelion where Whos live on is made of wafer paper. There are probably 500 strips, all are individually curled. Used 4 full sheets of wafer paper and then airbrushed it with electric pink & pearl.
Inspired by the colour scheme and characters and scenes from the cartoon, wanted to design a whimsical cake in 2-3 levels.

Horton: There’s a tiny person on that speck that needs my help!
Kangaroo: Absurd! There aren’t people that small.
Horton: Well, maybe they aren’t small, maybe we’re big.
Kangaroo: Horton…
Horton: No, Really. Think about it. What if there were someone way out there, looking down on our world right now, and to them, we’re the specks…
