Oooh I so enjoyed making this one…brought back memories of our sublime holidays in the Maldives – one of the true paradise’s on this planet – when Helen asked me to make her special cake I knew immediately where to take it…she loves her sunshine and cocktails (just like me ;) so that was the starting point…I must confess I’d wanted to make a fondant model in a cocktail glass for some time….so out came the tutorials and instructions from all the lovely bakers on line and away I went….the legs took a couple of goes until I was happy but poor Helen’s head took quite a few more…one was soooooo bad (ok, it actually looked a bit like, ahem, one of those ‘blow up dolls’!) That head definitely had to go….eventually I ended up with this version..and luckily did seem to resemble Helen quite well…though maybe that was more down to her hair….
Looks great!

You did a great job and your model is beautiful! Definitely nothing like a blow up doll – lol!

Ha ha thank you Sandra – I think I might have been ‘blocked’ off here had I use the other head ;) I really do need some practice – it was done with a mould but I even managed to mess that up…living and learning :)
