Boho Buttercream Wedding Cake design for DIY Wedding Magazine’s Around the World Wedding Cakes.

I chose to go with a Boho/Southwestern Buttercream design with a bit of a modern twist. If you know me, you know my love of clean designs. I wanted to keep the modern lines but still bring in the Boho chic feeling of the American Southwest.
The design is piped buttercream over a stucco buttercream finish with a pop of turquoise – of course!! I finished the design with braided leather straps made from modeling chocolate and gumpaste feather tipped in silver. The silver and turquoise beads are also gumpaste as is the silver medallion. I’ll have a new blog post up on Thursday explaining how I took inspiration from Boho jewelry to create this design!
