As I am an – ‘import’ from New Zealand 30 years ago ( I was 2)…… (that’s a lie) I have always loved the strong spirit of Multiculturalism Australia embraces.
From the food, fashion, music and culture, every thing in our everyday life has benefitted from our history of immigration.
My piece is called “Our Multicultural Garden” In it I have tried to represent all the large immigrant groups that have made our country great.

Netherlands – Tulip
USA – Rose
India – Lotus
New Zealand – Kowhai
England – Tudor Rose
Scotland – Thistle
Italy – Lily
Ireland – Shamrock
Australia – Waratah
Indigenous Australians -Wattle

The garden blooms atop a classic Aussie Landscape. An oasis that has blossomed in a harsh and unforgiving environment. Living together and making each other stronger by a shared love of our beautiful country.
