I really love The Lion King so I was really looking forward to this one….watching the film on repeat the whole time I was making it (and crying at The Circle Of Life every single time!)
I included Scar on one side as he is one of the birthday boy’s favourite characters…and a rhino on the other side as this is one of his favourite animals.
The backboard was airbrushed, then I painted the detail. Painting’s still fairly new to me so I was happy it turned out ok. In fact it’s inspired me to try non-cakey painting and I’ll be getting some watercolours and paper to take on holiday with me later in the year. It’s funny how cake can lead to different things xx
