I was asked to do a cake based around the film The Italian Job, with a weeks notice! 😁
Bearing in mind I have never watched the film, I asked friends who had seen it for some of the most iconic scenes.
So with those ideas this baby was born 😊
I coloured the gold bars with gold powder then put highlights of 24ct gold leaf, it shone beautifully although the photo seems to just make it look dirty!
The sponges were Victoria sponge with raspberry jam and chocolate and Morello cherry x
