I was thrilled to be asked to be part of the Advent Calendar 2015 collaboration with 23 other amazing cake artists and organised by Ellen from Cup of Cookies. I’ve wanted to make a carousel cake for so long this seemed to be an idea opportunity. I wanted it to have an elegant feel to it so decided to use white and gold with a touch here and there of burgundy.
I also inserted a motorised turntable into the tier under the carousel so that it moved around too but decided not to attempt my son’s suggestion of making the horse go up and down too :-)
