Since that first time, I’ve made the carriage into cake – here in the pic, it’s styrofoam. Cinderella is almost as tall as Barbie and is of course fondant. Her face is sculpted without any moulds. There are three layers of ruffles inside her skirt.

The carriage wheels were a nightmare. The spokes were cut to size from 20g wire, hot glued and then had the fondant ‘rim’ run around them. They were fine till 5 minutes before delivery when all four wheels cracked in various places. Hot glue gun came to the rescue but I never, ever want that to happen again. :/

The picture was taken in a hurry because there was an emergency and I had to deliver in 3 days instead of 10. Thus the bamboo skewer still poking above the carriage (client took it out later). Sigh.
