Hi! I’m really honored and happy to be part of the collaboration Be RED – UNSA 2015. I have to thank Zawadi for inviting me to participate in this collaboration with a theme so touching.
The United Nations of Sugar Art is a coalition of sugar artists have come together to support The Global Fund in its fight against HIV, TB, and Malaria. We are so close to stopping the transmission of HIV from mother to child that me may actually have a Generation born without HIV!! But we are not there yet. Over 600 children are born EVERYDAY with HIV.
Here’s the link to the official fb page, where you can see all the beautiful works created by wonderful artists from around the world, there are all initiatives to support this fight and all profits will go directly to the Global Fund.

With my cake I’ve tried to represent an optimistic view, the message I wanted to convey is that everyone can be a part of change. Through the commitment of everyone it is possible to help in the fight against HIV. In my cake I’ve symbolized the world as if it was a kind of building to represent the life of every day, populated by many children full of innocence and genuineness. These children come from various parts of the world and are committed to collecting the red ribbons that symbolize the gesture that we all can do something to support those who fight against HIV. All ribbons collected will be put on the tree that surmounts the building, to protect the mother and her child, to help him be born and live in health.
Supporting the 174 artists of the United Nations of Sugar Art, by sharing our page and donating to The Global Fund, we can all be part of a change for a better future for many children.
