A special cake for Nana. I remembered seeing old hats in the 1800 when doing some research about flowers. They sometimes completely covered them in flowers. It was a way to have a new hat without having to buy one, they also used cameos and brooches.
All sugar: Abraham Darby rose, LD Braithwaite, Dahlia, Gerbera, peony, classic roses, single lime hydrangea, double pink hydrangeas, leaves!!! and fillers.
Hydrangeas inspired by Christine Craig and Jacqueline Butler
But all made freeform with no cutters..
Cutters don’t like me lol!
all florals made with Bakels Pettinice

Absolutely gorgeous! I understand your feelings regarding cutters…I have the same problem. I use veiners, but no cutters.
