I loved every minute of making this 3 tier ruffle cake for Belinda and Bob’s wedding – from the many ruffles to the making of the yacht .
She’s from South Africa and Bob’s from America and the colour scheme of their wedding was red, white and blue. Also there was a nautical theme going on as Bob owns a yacht and he proposed to Belinda on the beach in Clifton, South Africa. And that’s where my inspiration for this cake came from – where the sea meets the land – lots of ruffle "waves, beach, shells and of course the yacht on top.
