My contribution to the Sugar Skull Bakers 2015 Collaboration—-a Gothic Sugar Skull wedding cake, all in black & silver. My inspiration was a black & silver sugar skull I saw in a store & I thought it was so striking amidst all of the colorful ones. I tend to be drawn to Gothic, so I combined the two in one piece. The background is airbrushed & cascading morning glories are gumpaste. The bas relief on the back of the skull was created from molds that I made myself, using a couple of my bracelets which have cool skulls on them. I love skulls & have a ton of skull jewelry!
