I did this cake for a new class that I will be offering in 2016 but you will have to wait to see where, lol! The request was made that I do a class on cocoa butter painting and the new product I have been raving about flexique.
So this is what I came up with, a gorgeous cocoa butter painted seahorse then outlined and highlighted in royal icing for depth and contrast. Second tier is this gorgeous tangerine orange with something new that not many know about which was told to me also by the fabulous inventor of Flexique , Marilyn Bawol which is gelatin and chocolate combined and I created this wonderful water like drip effect over the fondant. And last but not least I did flexique with wafer paper scales on the bottom tier. Super , duper easy and you will all love it if you take this class. All these techniques will be taught and I am so excited to be able to bring something new to the table.
This was a hard task for me as I had no mojo while making this design but I must say I am really happy with the final outcome. Not sure why I like orange on cakes so much but I just do.
