Midnight Masquerade Cake
Inspiration for this cake taken from another beautiful cake found by the customer online.
The Venetian mask is handmade from sugar.
I was surprised when I looked closely at the photo of the mask alone, and saw the pattern from the wall paper came through perfectly through the eye holes! Freaky!
This cake was tricky with the shaped upper tier and doing a double cris-cross quilted pattern, but I’m happy with the way it turned out.
