This is a chocolate cake with handcrafted fondant fisherwoman, fishes, crabs, basket, pillar, bricks, tree stump etc. made for a friend’s birthday. The stole (odhani) is made of rice paper and koyta (fish cutting knife) is made of wafer paper. Iron bars on pillar are vermicelli. Thin coat of edible gelatine is applied to the wood board to get wet effect. Cake is covered with dried fondant to show old broken concrete slab effect. Backdrop is an image from internet printed on edible sugar sheet. Everything on the cake is edible except strap of mobile. I was inspired to make this design after seeing a painting similar to this on internet.
