I had such a tricky brief for this cake. It needed to include David’s love for his family and their dog, Alfred, but also his 38 year career at NatWest (where he met his wife), and his love of cricket, steam trains, Leicester City FC, books and jigsaws. I was completely stumped until I hit on the room idea! Everything was completely edible, including the armchair and the dog!
