This past Saturday I got to celebrate one of my amazing sisters, Paige, turn 40 (although her real birthday isn’t until Wednesday 9/2). I was honored to make her a cake that reflected her style – she loves the colors teal, pink, and white!!! I’m not gonna lie, before all the details were added, it looked an awful lot like another frozen themed cake, lol, with the teal and the white drip! But I love how it turned out and excited that she was equally in love. She said she wanted to shellac it and save it forever. Turns out “forever” was 2 hours and then we all dug in! Cake is a 10" carrot spice cake with cream cheese icing, wrapped with a teal white chocolate ganache and topped with a variety of desserts/chocolates/flowers. The flowers are all in straws and stuck into the cake so they wouldn’t touch. I painted the flowers with a little extra gold/sparkle as well. This cake was HUGE, 10″ × 6.5″.
I wish I had better lighting for the photo – but you work with what you got!
