Here’s my cake for the collaboration of `` Game ON! ``
I was invited to make a cake o the themed of video games past and present.
Without hesitation I said yes, and the nostalgia of my favorite game `` Q-Bert`` came to me.
For those that do not know him, he was very popular in the 80s.
I had the pleasure of using Silikomart products to do so.
For the base and the back of this cake, I used 900 gram of black sugar paste.
The cubes were covered with 600 gram of sugar paste of the needed colors which I added a bit of color to make them more vibrant colors such as the games.
For my Q-Bert and the coil, I used the gumpaste. Very nice used it didn’t need to be conditioned with shortening. The plaque is also made of gumpaste and all details are produced thanks to the Pro black-pen. When the character was dry, I sprayed with gloss varnish from Silikomart
