A ZUHAIR MURAD Fashion Inspired Cake Art Collaboration for Cake Craft and Decoration, Wedding Cakes and Sugar Flowers Magazine, Issue 24.
20 cake artists from around the world came together to create a special cake collaboration inspired by Zuhair Murad’s fashion. Every cake designer had to choose one inspirational dress from Zuhair Murad’s collections and translate it into a cake art.
My gown was from the Spring/Summer 2013 collection, which inspired me because of its ethereal qualities and the unique combination of gold and silver in the design.
Soft white sugar blossoms, roses, ranunculus and peonies encapsulate the elegance of the design, which are offset by gold sugar leaves and silver berries. The intricate detailing on the gown was replicated on the cake using gold and silver edible sequins.
