This cake was inspired by “Floating Blossoms”. I wanted to find new and interesting ways to use a simple flower silicone mold… I purchased a small 8 cavity mold online several months ago to use on a wedding cake and thought I would experiment. We often see the falling or cascading blossom design on cakes (which is why i initially purchased this mold) but I wanted to find a new and surprising way to use this mold.
The design uses tiny blossoms to create an intricate pattern. Since the design itself is so busy I wanted to keep the accent simple and so I chose a delicate wafer paper rose.
I hope you like this….it has definitely inspired me to find other ways of using my molds :-)
