My contribution “A walk in the garden” for the SG 50 BAKERS collaboration to celebrate Singapore’s 50th year of Independance…

I live close to Gardens by the Bay. With different textures of the evening skies and sunset as backdrop, I see the city away from its hustle and bustle, in a completely different light; it looks like a new painting everyday!

The mosaic painting of Marina Bay Sands, Art Science Museum and Ferris wheel in the bottom tier of the cake is well captured in this. Another iconic representation of Singapore is its Orchids! Moth and Vanda orchids in red and white colors of the Singapore national flag finishes off my interpretation of Singapore.

Singapore is and will always remain very special to me. It is here that my little one was born. It is also here that my love, passion and talent for baking were born. Thank you Singapore for giving me abundance of opportunities and a safe and beautiful environment to bring up my family and do what I love!
