Today’s cake was the first of five cakes over 2 days

This 4 tier cake was made of vanilla and jam victoria sandwich cake, covered with vanilla ganache and fondant. All the flowers were hand made, and included Roses, Peonies, Hydrangeas, petunias, lillies, lilac flowers, buds, seeds and blossoms, all made from flower/petal paste.

I had total free reign on the design – the only brief given was the colours to use.

I loved making this cake and spent about 40 hours making it (the time consuming part was making all those flowers!)
