After a couple of pedestrian weeks with really ordinary commissions I was glad to let my creativity go a little bit and make this cake for a Birthday Lady. It has several things going on, handpainting, gilding and some texturing as well but the most important part is that we are having a Heatwave here over the UK making Cake decorating a challenge….so much so that I left the cake with sillica bags overnite and it hasn’t even dried properly!!! So I am glad it turn out OK!!!
