I was so excited to make this baby shower cake for an expectant mom who loves Hello Kitty! Her safari-themed baby shower gave me lots of ideas as far as combining Hello Kitty with some cool wild animal prints. This is what I came up with. Cake is dairy-free vanilla almond, and also has pink tiger stripes inside. Hello Kitty is hand-modeled, and her tiger stripes are free-handed using black gel color. Leopard “rug” is made using an impression mat that I painted with black gel to bring out the spots. Thanks for looking! xx, Sharon, Not Your Average Cupcake
