My friend Louise ( Alana Lily Chocolates & Cakes) had to persuade me to join her in this fantastic collaboration (my first) . I had to come up with something fast, PINOCCHIO! I flipped through all my daughters books, Nothing on the shelves! as the the date of the reveal was getting closer and closer and after seen the most stunning work from the rest of the team, I sat down, and put pen to paper, looking for a design and started baking! I needed Pinocchio to come alive……. YES, Pinocchio coming out of a book! …this was my vision!
Welcome to our collaboration celebrating the 75th Anniversary of the release of Pinocchio in the UK. Back in 1940 the film was released into a different country each month and it took more than a year to be released around the world….oh how times have changed. We are only a group of 13 and I just asked everyone to interpret the theme in their own way by picking a character, a scene or being abit more abstract. Thank you for coming to see our creations and we all hope you enjoy the show……….
I would also like to extend a very special thank you to Julie of Julie Fain Art for allowing us to use her beautiful image as our profile pic (www.facebook.com/juliefainart)
