Hi guys……this is my first time posting a cake on here :-)

I was honoured and to be honest…totally gobsmacked to be asked to join in with this collaboration …….When You Wish Upon A Star…..(my first) to celebrate 75 yrs since Pinnochio was released in this country !!!

The “gang” and concept was put together by the lovely Louise Wolfenden Haythornthwaite of Alana Lily Chocolate and Cakes………and the whole experience was a fabulous one…….To be working on a project with such a wonderful, supportive talented bunch of like minded people was the biggest treat of all……..such fun :-)

My cake represents the moment that the spotlight came down from the sky & Pinnochio lost his strings and came to life….before going on to prove himself enough to become a real boy :-) The most challenging thing being the tiny Jiminy Cricket !

The strings were made using my air pen (being used for the first time) with cake lace. The cake itself is 10" tall and so hard to cover…… I also used an air brush for the first time….Such fun !!!
