A beautiful Mother’s Day cake in my favorite color—-purple! My client asked for a special cake for his mother, only asking that it be purple & yellow, her favorite colors, & said she loves flowers. He said they’d never had a custom cake, so it would be a big surprise for her. So of course, I wanted to make it extra special! Purple & gold are such regal colors together, so I made her a cake fit for royalty!

The top tier is Carrot Cake with cream cheese coconut pecan filling & white chocolate ganache. The bottom tier is White Velvet cake with white chocolate buttercream filling & icing. Gumpaste peonies & fondant accents hand-painted with edible Rolkem metallic super gold. I raised the bottom tier up on a styrofoam round to achieve the draping effect hanging from the bottom of the tier. Oh, how I love my Marvelous Molds!!!
