The theme for the baby shower was “Keri’s About to Pop”, which was too cute, & her mom had gone all out on things that popped—-soda pop, popcorn, champagne, balloons, bubbles, etc. She left it up to me as to what topper to put on the cake, so I decided to go with a lovely hot air balloon, to be a bit different, & because I just love beautiful hot air balloons!

I absolutely loved this color scheme, & particularly enjoyed creating the ombre ruffles which I thought gave it a really neat effect. The top tier is Strawberry Fields Forever Cake with strawberry filling & white chocolate ganache. The middle tier I Disco Lemonade cake with Lemon Meringue buttercream filling & white chocolate ganache. The bottom tier is a dummy cake with fondant decor.
