This cake is named Urmi which means Wave of happiness, wave of joy, grace and beauty.
I had so much fun creating this cake and being a part of the Elegant Indian Fashion Collaboration. A little about my piece: The leaves on the bottom tier were hand piped and done in a bruised embroidered technique with RI and then hand painted silver. They were adorned with gum paste flowers hand painted silver to mimic the flowers on the dress of my inspiration. The top part of the cake was designed after the middle of the dress and I used edible glitter on the edges. The fantasy flower was center stage between bruin berries also covered in edible silver glitter. I have attached my cake next to my inspiration photo. TFL!!
A special thank Candace Chand for putting this all together and to Satin Ice for their contribution to our collaboration and my piece!
