Barbora Cakes

My cake decorating came to me as a bit of a surprise. When I had my children, being at home as a full-time mum, I started baking sweets, giving to neighbours and friends as I loved baking but my family couldn't eat it all. Eventually the word spread that I bake tasty cakes. One day a friend of mine asked me to help her prepare a birthday cake for her son. She wanted to cover it with sugar paste. I had never seen sugar paste before, let alone worked with it. But the cake eventually came out really pretty and I and my friend were very proud of ourselves. And shortly afterwards my friend asked me to bake a cake for somebody else. And I said yes and fell in love with cake decorating. I am self-taught, self-exploring and self-experimenting cake decorator. And I love it as with every new cake I explore a tiny bit of my inner self as well.
