I so enjoyed this cake, my remit was ‘spring flowers’.

I was given a week’s notice, so on such a tight timescale I tried to deliver the best I could. I wanted to get a Wedgewood effect on the bowl using cake lace for the relief pattern on the side and added cake lace runner to make it homely. I added a handpainted gift tag too to make it a little different.

It made me smile that the Lady who’s birthday it was couldnt believe it was cake. I consider that a compliment!! x
