Her mom wanted a makeup cake with all the little fondant pieces on it that we’ve seen so many times before… Thankfully she gave me creative freedom with the only stipulation that it not be too grown up as her daughter was just turning 9.

Unfortunately, I had to restrain myself a bit as I went a good bit over budget (I’m always TOO happy when a customers let me do what I want!) so I had to pull back at the end and I didn’t cover the drum which I think would have finished it). It is what it is and I’m still very happy with it :)
