This was an 8-in 2-layer round tier on the bottom and a 6-inch one-layer tier on top. I frosted smooth in BC. I then added multi-color sprinkles through a shaker to help adjust where the saturation of sprinkles would go.
I made the A initial out of white fondant with skewers, to put into top tier to hold the letter up.
I put small amounts of water and dipped a in sprinkles until covered. You can’t add too much water, as the beads with bleed color. Some spots that didn’t work, I just added a bit of BC in those areas, then added sprinkles.
I laid the initial flat on wax paper, for about 12 hours. I could have done it earlier… to make sure it would set up well….*I was also going to make the letter out of rice crispy treats for a thicker letter, so may do that next time.
