This is my easter ~ spring cake, I’ve been wanting to make this easter cake since last year. Finally I got a chance to make it, as well for me practicing making a tall cake, which is quite difficult in my opinion I have to tried couple times to covered it with fondant and finally decided to try the panelling method. It still far from perfect, that’s why I hand painted it to covered my mistake, does anyone knows how to do the easy way to cover tall cake?

the inspiration is from my neighborhood, it’s been blooming cherry blossom this past few weeks, makes me want to transfer it to cake :)
this cake is about 9" tall, I think it will look nice with bunny who fall asleep under the blooming cherry blossom tree after digging some carrot.

I put the Egg on the top because it is like the price Egg, that hidden on the top of the tree.
the cake is double barrell chocolate cake with ganache, as for the egg is from RKT and covered with marshmallow fondant.

what do you think? any opinion or advice is welcome, especially about covering tall cake smile emoticon Thank you so much and Happy Easter
