My first collaboration project and the brief was Easter/Spring flowers on an egg! I covered a polystyrene egg in sugar paste and based my design on a stained glass window effect. The violets are hand painted with petal dusts dissolved in cocoa butter, the black connection lines are piped black royal icing. I used a bell mould to shape a sugar paste vase and the piped detail was painted with gold lustre. PME glaze was used to give a shine to the finished egg.
