This was my entry for Cake International London 2015. I have always wanted to make a character from the Spiderwick Chronicles field guide so this was my chance., He is 9 1/2" tall and was for the Small Decorative exhibit category. I entered Cake International in Birmingham with a wedding cake last year and was hooked! So I want to enter a different category each time to work on different areas of my work.

OLD-WORLD LEPRECHAUN
Where leprechauns have spent time, clover is likely to spring up, particularly four-leaf clover.
Meet Allister Sassafeas. He lives in a field where he makes single shoes from dried leaves.
Grass is tucked in his hat serving to camouflage him while he works.
He has large ears which allow for exceptional hearing.
He wears buckles on his shoes which have sharp prongs, they are used as spurs whilst riding livestock. Usually goats and the occasional cat.
Allister keeps his home-made cobblers tools always handy and is often found in his forest workplace.
