My first attempt at a teapot cake

I saw teapot cakes & thought I’d like to have a go. This is my first attempt for a friend’s birthday.

Just a hobby baker but love seeing other people's work & aspire to creating something as beautiful one day.

It’s challenging but not really difficult. :). I cooked the cakes for the actual teapot in 2 Pyrex bowls if i remember correctly. I think the worst bit was trying to get the spout & handle to stay on as they are just fondant & quite heavy. I could have done better with the cup & saucer but it was an afterthought to use up left over cake.

This is gorgeous…I would love to do this…I saw it and thought of someone I know immediately (my mother-in-law) who loves her tea only from a teapot…will be making this for her I think :-) Thank you for sharing xx
