This was a cake created for the 29th Squire Kitchen Exhibition.
The clouds and leaves are wafer paper printed from images of the same I found on copyright free images.
The birds are Twites and were made using the wonderful 3D Bird mould by FPC Sugarcraft. I dusted them to the basic shades, then painted their markings before dusting again.
The base double height tier was painted using sugarflair paste colours.
I haven’t painted since school, so this was both terrifying and loads of fun at the same time.
