Pretty Pink for Yasmine!

A cake collaboration to remember and celebrate the life of Yasmine, a very special little girl. Aged 5, Yasmine developed a brain tumour and battled against all odds for five months, embracing each day and never complaining. Sadly it wasn’t a battle she could win. Ten years after her passing, we remember her.

March 2nd, 2015, marks Yasmine’s 15th birthday. Pink was Yasmine’s favourite colour and she loved all things girly, including princesses and fairytales and her favourite place was Disneyland.

When I was asked to do this collab, it didn’t want it to be just cake made with love, I wanted it to have meaning as well. So I started Googling for ideas and came across this verse. I knew then that I wanted to make this verse in cake. Again I did a little googling and everytime I came back to a heart. As far back as the 15-16th century a heart has represented Love….That heart, that love is Bobbie and Yasmine xxx
