My customer likes to throw Academy Award inspired parties during Oscar season. Last year I made a Goonies inspired cake, her favorite childhood movie.

This year she wanted something elegant, classy, and a bit on the daring side. This is what we came up with.

She wanted to pay homage to the Chinese Theater in LA, so I thought hmm…why not do some red dragon scales with a little bit of gold here and there. BAM! accomplished!! Topped off with some beautiful white orchids heart emoticon swoooon, I love it!!

As tribute to some of Old Hollywood’s most beloved actors and actresses we’ve decked out the top tier with black and white photos of Brando, Hepburn, Monroe, Gable, Taylor and Dean. I went with black fondant dusted in gold for an antique and classy look
