1/4 sheet cake with a fireman’s hat, that went with the cupcakes I previously posted yesterday.
I frosted cake smooth in white buttercream, then etched design on w/ toothpick. I filled in and outline with #4 and #3 tip red, black and #5 in white. I smooth white center with my ring finger dipped in very warm water and shake off excess. You have to do this several times, as the icing will stick to your finger once it looses the moisture.
I outline all area’s of the hat again, so the detail will stand out.
I piped #8, #10, and #3 flames around sides in orange, yellow, red, and black.
