1/4 sheet cake with butternut flavor inside. *I don’t know if you have ever tried butternut flavoring, but there is a particular brand I use and will be glad to share it, just ask. I use a yellow cake recipe for a base, and this cake has no nuts, but the flavoring makes a rich yellow cake, that is delicious and moist!
I hand drew the horse head with buttercream, after I etched on design with a toothpick for guidelines. A dressage horse has braids for a show horse in this category. I will say cake decorating is also an education, when we are asked to do something that is familiar, but we don’t know all the particulars until doing research in what the details are, when asked to do a theme for a cake.
I filled in areas in anything from a #2 tip to a #5 or #6. For flowers I used #4 and #6 tip, and a drop flower tip to make upper boarder in white and yellow centers. Bottom boarder was a #352 leaf tip with dots in between.
