This was one of those orders where the client gave me a free reign. Sometimes that can be a bit daunting but on this occasion I knew exactly what I wanted to create based on a piece of vintage lace ribbon given to me. I know some designers don’t agree with adding ribbon trims but I love the versatility of ribbons & fell in love with the vintage beige lace ribbon trimming this cake the minute I saw it! I chose the pink & beige because I imagined what colours my mum would like & what mum / nannie doesn’t like flowers? x
