A birthday sugar shoe for a lady who has style, elegance and personality. I wanted to make a dramatic but stylish shoe with lots of texture, so I decided on scales. I cut well over a hundred triangle scales from rice paper I had dusted, then painted the tips in gold lustre dust, laying them on the shoe as if it were a living thing. I airbrushed the shoe all over in gold and bronze, adding a red underlay on the sole. I painted the heel in 4 layers of lustre dust and vodka so it was opaque and gleaming. Lastly I thought it was missing something, so I added green vines to once again make it seem alive, then lightly painted gold to accent the design. I was really pleased with the result. This is all completely edible. Hope you like it :)
