Let’s hear it for the boys! In celebration of Ford Mustang’s 50th year, 32 men from 13 different countries got together to honor this gorgeous machine in sugar…we call them the REV HEADS.
This was Chef Nick’s contribution:

“In celebration of the Mustang’s 50th Anniversary, I thought that it would be great to take a look at its beginnings and what could have been.

The original Ford Mustang concept was an open top vehicle created in 1962 and was based on the design of Mustang fighter jets, hence its name. Unfortunately, not much of the concept made it into the eventual production models, save for the name and the side vents.
After some research,

I found an article where Ford released several images of their mustang concepts that never made it for production, and that’s when I saw the 1962 Mustang 1 Hard Top Concept. I couldn’t find any other image of the vehicle; save for the one side view, so I had to get a little creative with what the rest of the car would look like. I drew inspiration and design cues mainly from the original 1962 concept, but also from several early mustang models.

Just think that if the executives back then had decided to go another direction, the iconic Ford Mustang that we’re familiar with today could have ended up looking pretty different." – Chef Nick
