Poor Santa! At a glance, it looked as if he had passed out due to sheer exhaustion from delivering presents to many good children all over the world. But oh no! He had actually been floored after seeing Mrs Claus looking as gorgeous as a Christmas bauble! She’s decked out in her new glittery outfit complemented by white lace gloves, red velvet cape and black stiletto boots. She’s also had a hair and face makeover courtesy of Polly the wannabe makeup artist, so old Santa could barely recognise her as his wife. Hip! Hip! Hooray! No more looking old and dowdy in Santa’s old suits whilst helping him to deliver presents this year! Here’s to the new and sexy Mrs Claus!

I decorated this panettone with this fun theme for my family’s annual Christmas dinner this year. The snow is royal icing. Santa and Mrs Claus are modelled from gumpaste. The big bow is made of fondant. Mrs Claus was adapted from Carlos Lischetti’s Moulin Rouge figurine from his book “Animation In Sugar”.
