Gift Box Cake from Gioia for Starship.
Starship hospital is a specialist children’s hospital here in Auckland, where there are many little fighters, little beings full of hope, courage and will power and where miracles happen. Many many make it through….and sadly some lose their battle with disease. This cake and the cupcakes are for the children and nurses in the specialist Heart Ward. They are with gratitude from a little girl Gioia, who sadly didn’t make it, but she is still alive in her parents’ and loved ones hearts.
I cried and cried with Gioia’s mum today, talking about a very strong and vibrant little girl who was plucked way so quickly and we can never imagine anything like that when we bring these beautiful people into the world. Please hug your children…they are so precious!!! Life is short. Love Live! Have a blessed Christmas.
