I just LOVE the effect of black cake lace over a white cake! It’s just a beautiful contrast & so SEXY! I had free rein on the design of this cake, as my client ordered it as a gift for her friend who kept saying she ‘needed an occasion’ to get one of my cakes, so she surprised her with this one for Christmas! What a great friend!

The cake is Lemon Velvet with White Chocolate Buttercream filling, & white chocolate ganache. The fondant is a shimmery pearl airbrushed over white, overlaid with the black cake lace, & the peony is gumpaste with the edges touched with silver glitter.

I just LOVE this cake! I want to do more of the cake lace! So gorgeous!
