This wedding was on Saturday. It was Friday evening, and because of another (LONG story) cake, all I came home to was 12 assorted cake rounds on my bench. Nothing else.
A sizable decorating dent was made from 8 p.m. to 4:30 a.m. – and 2 hours of sleep gave me enough of a second wind to finish the cake by the 12 a.m. deadline. Delivery was interesting, mostly because the coordinator came over and requested I change something about the cake – never had that happen before – and because the lighting on that stage was amazing for showing off the cake, but horrible for documentary purposes.
A v-back and cascading buttons mimic the bride’s dress, while the all-over lace and belt on the second tier finish off this all-buttercream, pearlescent cake.
Gorgeous!!! what did they want you to change? ??

Piece O-Cake – She wanted all-pearl borders on all the tiers…needless to say, that took a while. :p Grrr haha
Fiary Cake Mother – First off, I adore your name. Second – thank you! I must say I slept for a good long while afterwards. ;) :)
Goreti – Thank you! It’s my most favorite cake to date.
